I took the last corner, pulling up outside his house. “Here you go. Home sweet home.” When he didn’t move, I turned to face him. He was staring at me, all humor gone and only a hard gaze. “Blaine, I—”
“Look, Robyn,” he said quietly, shifting toward me. “I was serious when I said I like you.” I gasped, the expression in his eyes flooring me. He moved closer, lifting his hand and pressing his large palm against my cheek, leaning into my space so much that the heat coming from him warmed me, beckoning me to sink into it. “But if you seriously don’t want me near you again, I’ll respect that—no more fucking around. You won’t hear from me or see me again.”
I believed him. His voice was clear and direct, and at that moment I was suddenly terrified of losing the guy that had stormed into my life only a couple of weeks ago. “I do want you,” I whispered.
He leaned over, cupping both sides of my face with his hands and taking my mouth with his, pressing his soft lips against mine. He slowly pulled back, leaving me in a daze and desperate for more.
“I shouldn’t want you so much, but I can’t help it,” he breathed against my lips.
“Why shouldn’t you?” I asked, gripping the front of his hoodie.
“I’m not good for you, but fuck if I’m going to let that keep me away.”
I tugged him toward me, slamming my mouth to his, parting my lips and deepening the kiss, taking what I wanted. Blaine’s tongue licked into my mouth, and I moaned, going back for more and more, loving how he gently sucked on my lips as he kissed me. I tasted him, flicking my tongue over his and he responded by threading his hands in my hair and holding me to him, tilting my head for better access.
I could’ve stayed there all night, just feasting on his mouth, enjoying how his lips moved expertly over mine. They were pulsating when he pulled away, swollen and wet.
Blaine brushed my hair back as he looked over my face. “You’re gonna cause me a lot of trouble, retweet, I just know it.”
I smiled, then pulled him in for another kiss. “I don’t think it’s me that’s the cause,” I countered.
“No.” He shook his head, then kissed me again. “You’re not, but I am.” He pressed his lips to my forehead once before releasing me.
He got out of my car and shut the door, the sound emphasizing the empty space beside me that now seemed so much bigger without him.
I watched him walk up the path toward the door, my stomach doing a flip-flop when he looked over his shoulder and winked.
Blaine wasn’t the only one that was trouble. I was, and in just a short amount of time, I’d gotten myself in so deep I couldn’t see my way out.
And I didn’t want to.
